The 49-year-old South Africa-born billionaire said he believes in a renewable energy future and that humanity should be a “multi-planetary space-bearing civilization.”

“I think if I just posted that on Twitter I’d be fine,” he opened.

Musk claimed he was the first “SNL” host with Asperger syndrome – “at least the first to admit it” – referring to a developmental disorder on the autism spectrum, and kidded that he’s been told his lack of intonation “makes for great comedy.”

Musk also complained some people have reduced his personality to the fact that he smoked pot during an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast, and now people act like he goes from podcast to podcast lighting up.

At the end of his monologue, Musk brought his mother onstage — after the mothers of “SNL” cast members appeared earlier, ahead of Sunday’s Mother’s Day.

She joked she was excited about her Mother’s Day gift but hoped it wasn’t Dogecoin, Musk’s favourite cryptocurrency — the value of which was sinking during the show, according to reports.

One current and one former employee of the “Ellen Show” told BuzzFeed News that the complaint was filed to an unidentified industry union, prompting the investigation, which was confirmed by a spokesperson for Warner Bros. to BuzzFeed News.

The spokesperson said the matter was “resolved with no merit to claims of gender discrimination” and that “there is nothing new or noteworthy about this issue.”

The news of the 2018 investigation follows the departure of three executive show producers — Ed Glavin, Kevin Leman, and Jonathan Norman — earlier this month after BuzzFeed News’ reporting of a toxic workplace environment, according to two current and 71 former show staffers.

Executives at the Ellen Show were made aware of toxic workplace allegations in 2018 — two years before three top producers were ousted as a result, BuzzFeed News reported Tuesday.

One current and one former staffer of the show told BuzzFeed News that a complaint alleging gender discrimination and sexism was filed to an unnamed industry union in 2018, prompting an investigation from the show’s distributor, Warner Bros.

A Warner Bros. spokesperson confirmed to BuzzFeed News that an outside investigator looked into the complaint but it was “resolved with no merit to claims of gender discrimination” and that “there is nothing new or noteworthy about this issue.”

“As previously stated, we are committed to changing the things that need to change and moving forward in a constructive and positive way,” the spokesperson said.

The news of the 2018 complaint follows the departure of three executive show producers — Ed Glavin, Kevin Leman, and Jonathan Norman — following BuzzFeed News’ reporting and subsequent investigation on the alleged toxic work environment, according to two current and 71 former staffers.

Host Ellen DeGeneres, executive producers Mary Connelly, Andy Lassner, and Derek Westervelt appeared in a video conference with employees Monday to address the workplace complaints. DeGeneres also apologized to staff in an email at the end of July for failing to create a workplace culture where “everyone would be treated with respect.”

Kirk first met Presley in 1968 when she treated him at a Memphis medical clinic for saddle sores, Closer Weekly reported. The 78-year-old recalled how Presley would look down as the doctors spoke with him

“I walked over, lifted

his chin, and said, ‘Elvis, if you talk to me, you look at me,’” she said.

According to Kirk, Presley was impressed by the nurse and her “country ways.” In 1972, he hired her as his nurse, as well as her husband for security. Kirk, her husband and their daughters soon found themselves living in Graceland.

“Elvis had a way of getting what he wanted,” said Kirk.

Kirk shared that despite Presley’s fame and fortune, he was often lonely. By then, he and his wife Priscilla Presley had separated.

“He was very family-oriented,” Kirk explained. “[He and Priscilla] continued to be very close via the telephone. … He wanted a companion, but it was difficult for someone of his stature.”

That same year, Presley became involved with 1972’s Miss Tennessee Linda Thompson.

“He was very, very happy with Linda,” said Kirk, adding Thompson was an “intelligent … stunning lady.”

But the romance was not meant to be. According to the outlet, Thomas left Presley a year before his death because, she said, “it was exhausting … watching him slowly self-destruct.”

Kirk said Presley attempted to find solace in reading the Bible, but the loneliness didn’t leave him.

“He was a very spiritual person,” she explained. “The world thinks he has everything, and yet the happiness isn’t there. He was miserable because he’d gained so much weight. He knew he was not going to be able to perform like he wanted to.”

“We shared many hours together,” she continued. “I saw the sadness and happiness. I saw vulnerability. I was very fortunate [to have known him]. I wish there was something I could have done to make him a happier person. He was not only my patient but a good friend.”

Kirk claimed she tried to improve Presley’s diet, but it didn’t stick. Instead, she alleged, prescription drugs “came from everywhere.”

“His access to medications was overwhelming,” she claimed.

By the mid-‘70s, Presley was in declining physical and mental health, history.com reported. The singer had developed a dangerous dependence on prescription drugs and turned to overeat. Presley, once a former teen idol, had gained a considerable amount of weight. The outlet noted that during the last two years of his life, Presley made erratic stage appearances and lived nearly as a recluse.

Kirk was working at her clinic when she received word that Presley had died.

“Had he had immediate medical attention, there’s a big possibility [he might have lived],” she said. “But who knows? I just want the world to know what a great, intelligent, kind, spiritual individual he was. He was a very special person.”

As was first reported by TMZ and confirmed by People, Nicole Young filed for divorce on Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court from Dr. Dre, the stage name of Andre Romelle Young, after 24 of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

Previously married to former L.A. Laker Sedale Threatt, Young married the rapper and producer on May 25, 1996. The pair went on to have two children, son Truice, born in 1997, and Truly, born in 2001. They joined Dre’s four children from previous relationships and his late son Andre Young Jr., who died in 2008 at the age of 20.

In December, Dr Dre, whose current estimated worth clocks in around $800 million, topped Forbes’ ten highest-earning musicians list ahead of Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, despite not releasing an album since 2015. “My advice to someone out there, is that be true to who you are. I used to say this in many interviews but not really understand any of it, because then again it sounded like the right thing to say. But be true to who you are, I had to look at myself, face myself that it was pain, it was shameful, it was scary but I had to do it because there was no other way and in that I found peace and in that I found elevation, I found desire and passion for life.

“Trust me I used to wake up every morning questioning what the hell is this about, why are we doing this again, a lot of people used to say to me but you are in America now, (I live in Atlanta now) and that is the Mega of Music you have the perfect opportunity, I’m gonna tell you this, and this is a note to my African stars and artistes out there, don’t chase the American dream there are too many Selena Gomezs out here, not yet even conceived and there is only just a few chances not to kill your dream but be great where you are, that’s the only way to do it. Yes. All I can say is that  God has been wonderful.

How do you rest?

I’m a nomad. I love to travel. To rest, I visit new places, see the sights and sounds, eat good food and sleep well.  Alternatively, I stay locked up in my bedroom and just sleep.

What have you been up to?

Work, work,  work. , I’m working on expanding my brand with the launch of some products.  I’ll tell you more when it’s ready.

What project are you working on presently?

Assistant Madams, a Redtv/ UBA production,  Man enough,  a stage play by Bolanle Austin-Peters and a  couple of movies.

How would you describe your journey into Nollywood?

Divine. God placed certain situations, and people at different times in my life to nudge me in the right direction.

What bold step did you take to attain your current status?

The bold step was major, believing God and totally accepting His blessing, believing in myself, taking my craft seriously, working very hard to be the best and staying consistent.

Were there fears of not accomplishing your set goals before attaining this height?

Yes of course. At a certain time, I felt everything was at a standstill. But, as I stated up there, I believe God and I know what He blessed me with. I wasn’t about to let Him or myself down so I stayed true to my craft.

I have been feeding children in the orphanage, I have adopted street children that I cater for (education) and at the moment, working on an empowerment program for indigenes of my home town.

I keep my family off social media, live my life peacefully, stay in my lane and I don’t like quarrel, lol.

What do you love most about being an actress?

What I love most about being an actress is being able to live another person’s life for a while, understand their pains, joy, happiness, sadness, etc. It’s surreal and gives me a different perspective to life every single time. It teaches me that there’s so much more to life than what I see on the surface. I love it.

I completely internalize my character and for the time that I film, I am no longer Tana Adelana but the character. You know, someone once said, ‘for a character to come alive, the actor must first die’. I have lived by this for a while and it has completely helped me.

You moved from broadcasting background to movies. Are there similarities and what informed your decision to leave being an OAP/ presenter to becoming an actor?

Presenting will always be my first love. I haven’t left. I will be back. I started acting because it’s quite similar. After having children, it was a bit difficult getting back to a regular routine. I needed something I could do while attending to the family as well. I didn’t know I’d fall in love with acting.

How was growing up like for you?

Growing up was cool. I was a bit spoilt, lol. I grew up with nine other siblings and I am the last. I had so much love I didn’t know what to do with it. Lol.

Everything you studied in school doesn’t seem to align with your current profession, does that mean you didn’t set out to be an actress?

I always knew I’d be in front of the camera but my parents wanted me to be a doctor or a lawyer. You know,  parents of those days. So, I studied Urban and Regional Planning. I loved Geography and they loved the idea too. When I was done, I passed my certificate unto them and left to pursue my dream.

What have you learned so far from fans or followers of your craft? 

I’ve learned to just be myself and that those who will accept me will accept me.

As a married woman and a pretty one at that, what’s your experience like with stubborn male fans who still can’t get over the fact that you are off the market?

I just simply ignore them.

What’s the craziest thing a fan has ever done to you?

Send nudes to my dm.

Who has been your greatest support and how?

My husband. He has allowed me to pursue my dreams without prejudice and I’m grateful for that.

How have you been able to shuffle family and acting?

I have a good God and a supportive husband.

In Almost Never, Mya-Lecia played a member of the girls band Girls Here First who competed against the boy band The Wonderland on a fictional TV talent competition The Spotlight. 

Emily Atack played Meg, the mother of one of the members of The Wonderland.  

The Wonderland member Oakley Orchard also paid tribute saying: ‘Rest in peace to my little pink wafer. Absolutely devastated, will miss all the fun times we had together.’ 

Almost Never co-star Tillie Amartey wrote: ‘Rest forever in peace my beautiful angel you are loved and always will be your legacy lives on in all of us we will do you proud I promise.’ 

Nathaniel Dass added: ‘We are all going to miss you so so much and Almost Never won’t be the same without you.

‘The most beautiful girl inside and out, kind and funny I will never forget you and thank you for being a part of my life.’ 

She was best known for her role as Fran in CBBC’s Millie Inbetween, and was a budding model and singer.

The child star began her career aged two in 2004 in the BBC show Absolutely Fabulous. 

She is set to star in The Witcher, which is in pre-production. Other stars in the show include Henry Cavill and Lars Mikkelsen. 

The BBC’s statement read: ‘We are so sorry to have to tell you that Mya-Lecia, who you will know from ‘Millie Inbetween’ and ‘Almost Never’ has, very sadly, died.

‘Mya-Lecia was a much loved part of the BBC Children’s family, and a hugely talented actress, singer and dancer.

‘We will miss her enormously and we are sure that you will want to join us in sending all our love to her family and friends.’ 

The statement went on: ‘We know this news is very upsetting, and it may help to share how you are feeling with friends or a trusted adult.

‘If you are struggling and there is no one you feel you can talk to about it, you can call Childline on 0800 11 11.’ 

Alice Webb, director of BBC Children’s which includes CBBC, said news of Naylor’s death had left her team ‘distraught and so terribly sad’.

She said: ‘She has shone so brightly on our screens, both in Millie Inbetween and Almost Never, and it’s unthinkable that she won’t be part of our journey going forward.

‘She was hugely popular with our audience, a very talented actress, dancer and singer, and a real role model for her young fans.’ 

The last post on Mya’s Instagram account was created eight hours before her death was confirmed. She died on Sunday April 7.
